New Discoveries - Trader Joe's Matcha Green Tea Latte

I love Trader Joe's. Mostly because they have my favorite wrap. Habanero Lime wraps. They have a nice kick but are not overwhelming. Absolutely Delicious. However this post isn't about wraps this post is about this new product I saw at Trader Joe's. Their house brand Match Green Tea Latte mix.

I am fairly certain this is a new product since it was in the new products section of my local Trader Joe's. If you are a fan oh Starbucks Green Tea Lattes but not a fan of the price tag, this is for you!

Not granted it isn't as good as the real thing but it comes very close. Once you open the container you get a whiff of sweet green tea goodness.

The powder is very fine and dissolves instantly in hot water. It says 3 tablespoons of mix with 6 oz of water. That is a lot for barely one cup of water. If you using the good match powder, you would barely need a teaspoon. I don't measure when I make my drink i just toss in a few spoonfuls and then add as much water as I want to drink. I never had an issue of the powder not dissolving or it clumping up at the bottle of my mug like traditional matcha powder.

Now I have attempted to make my own matcha green tea latte at home and lets just say I went to reload my Starbucks card afterwards....

The mix is sweet, maybe a little too much for my tastes but not unbearably so. It has a bunch of funny ingredients but I think it is to ensure it flavor of steamed milk.

I have tried this both hot and the iced versions as per instructions. The iced version still had a good amount of sweetness but the green tea flavor was muted. With any beverage you just need to find the sweet spot. The container recommends 3 tablespoons but I might do more or less or add more or less ice depending on how I like my drink.

I really love my latest Trader Joe's find. I keep this can at the office. Since you do need a lot when your making a cup, I can't see it would last all that long however I also think it is comforting to know I won't have it sit in the pantry for too long.

Holy Moly! Tony Moly!

So an old high school friend of mine was coming back from Korea and she was nice enough to buy me a couple of Tony Moly things. I did see a store in Singapore but the prices were outrageously high so I jumped at the chance.

I sent her a list and these are the items she did manage to find.

Backstage Double Eyes Gel Liner in Purple

Double Needs Pang Pang Mascara

Wonder Water Moisture Cream

Red Appletox Honey Cream
Appletox Smooth Passage Peeling Cream

I know I love the red appletox honey cream but everything else I have yet to try. I am super excited, I wanted to get more items from this brand for a while now. I hope you will check it out too!
