September 2012 Empties

This month flew by fast! I think this is one of my worst months since I started Blogging... haha.

Sept 26th was my Birthday month and I have been trying to plan a weekend trip for weeks now! (Just got back this morning actually) ^^

For all of you that might celebrate, Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!!

I did well this year! Only devoured half a mooncake!

Moving on to my September Empties!

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream - I got this large tub at Costco. Everyone raves how this is the bare basics cream and it is just a good cream to keep your skin moisturized... My thoughts? Meh. It is a scentless cream. That is only part I liked about it. I don't think this is particularly moisturizing and I don't think they should advertise it for very dry skin. It doesn't absorb quickly and leaves my skin feeling slick. I much prefer the Aveeno one.

Skintimate Shaving lotion - Took me almost 2 years to finish this I think... haha.... I am very lazy when it comes to shaving and I don't do it unless I absolutely have to. Since summer is over I am glad I won't be showing my legs too often! (Hate the upkeep that shaving requires) I was surprised I managed to finish this large can. I usual opt for the small travel size ones because I don't like having this large one sit on my sink. I do like this Lotionized Vitamin E one. Would I repurchase. Probably not. There are so many choices out there I think I want to try something else. If you have dry legs (like me) the consistency was smooth but a good moisturizer after shaving is always a must!

Shiseido Perfect Oil - I bought this cleansing oil because of such positive reviews on the blogosphere. I wasn't too impressed with it. I want to do a full review of the cleansing oils I finished up, hopefully I will get to it this month!

St. Ives Apricot Scrub Invigorating - When I first started getting into skincare I was really into this stuff. It works very well at removing dead skin. HOWEVER I discovered this was a big part in my redness issues. The particles in this scrub are very harsh on my skin and although my skin feels clean, the next day I always have an overwhelming about of redness and irritation on my face. Unless you have very tough skin I would urge you to stay away. That being said... How did I finish this??? I used it to scrub my body and mostly my legs before a shave. haha. I don't believe in wasting products and I wanted to find a way to finish it. It worked really well at removing dead skin from my legs giving me a smoother shave.

If you have any exfoliaters in your cabinets that are too harsh for your face a good idea is to use it on your body or even your feet!

Str-Vectin SD eye cream - This came in a set with some other Str-Vectin products I purchased for my stretch marks. This little tube took me over 4 months to finish! I don't see any visible results and nothing life changing. I probably won't repurchase.

Phew! Not a super exciting month but I did manage to polish off a lot of full size bottles. All and all I would say I did pretty good this month!

What are some of your recent empties?
